Nagarkot / May 20: The Nepal Red Cross Society (NRCS), Bhaktapur has launched the ‘Healthy Bhaktapur Campaign’ on Saturday.

The campaign kicked off bearing in mind the probability of various sorts of health-related problems among the people with the starting of monsoon will run for a month.

According to NRCS Bhaktapur’s Parashuram Pandey, the campaign is primarily focused on increasing public awareness on this issue. Whole-body check-up once in a year is necessary to remain updated about our health condition, but this is not widely in practice as we visit health facilities only in the aftermath of health problems, he added.

Under this campaign, a free health camp was organised at different parts of the district in support of various district-based health institutions including the Iwamura Hospital, Nagarik Community Teaching Hospital, Madhyapur Hospital and Korea-Nepal Friendship Hospital.

A total of 59 people had their health checked up at the camp, informed Suraj Mishra, Organizer at Nepal Red Cross Society Bhaktapur. RSS
