TU to provide transcript with in a day
Kathmandu / May 27: Tribhuvan University has started ‘examinations management information technology system’ to issue transcript to the students with in a day.
TU Vice-chancellor Professor Tirtharaj Khaniya marked the beginning of the system at the Office of the Controller of Examinations today by providing the transcript to a B. Ed graduate Manoj Kumar Singh.
On the occasion, Prof Khaniya stated that the University was working to make it’s activities paperless. Khaniya also informed that such service would be started in the regional level offices and campuses as well, adding online system would be made systematic by 2020 and bring in more reforms in examination systems.
Likewise, Examination Controller Pushpa Raj Joshi said with the new startup the students would collect their transcripts on the same day they filled their form up by ending the week long practice.
In the initial days, the TU will provide such facility to the students of the B. Ed students as a trial but would issue to all the students within a week.
The new technology can print 45 transcripts in a minute. The TU would distribute registration cards, examination forms, mark-sheets and provisional certificates via the same system. With this system in place, the students would get one-stop service. RSS
