Banking system mandatory while paying staffers

Singha-Durbar

Kathmandu, May 28: From now onward every industry and or company has to mandatorily pay their staffers through banking system.

A meeting of the Council of Ministers held in Singha Durbar today passed employment regulations making it mandatory to deposit their staffers’ salaries in the bank accounts before paying them.

Minister for Labor, Employment and Social Security Gokarna Bista said that the paying staffers through banking system will help put an end to the exploitation of the staffers.

The industries, academies and institutes should take precaution and make arrangements accordingly while operating the machinery equipment and possible accidents at the work place.

The companies should provide treatment expenses to their staffers if they are injured in the line of duty.

Similarly, the company has to establish a child care center as per the provisions laid down in the labor regulations if more than 50 women are working in the company and a resting room.
