May 29, 2018-Nepal’s mobile money service provider eSewa, a sister concern of F1 Soft Group, on Monday appointed national cricket team vice-captain Gyanendra Malla as its brand ambassador.

The digital wallet company appointed Gyanendra as its envoy in an undisclosed amount during a programme in Kathmandu. Gyanendra and F1 Soft Group President Biswas Dhakal signed a one-year agreement during the programme. Following the agreement, Gyanendra will be using eSewa sticker in his bat during national and international matches.

Gyanendra thanked the company for the association and urged other corporate houses as well to come forward and get linked with players from other sports disciplines as well. “I still remember eSewa beginning their association with cricket when it endorsed two of our cricketers after Nepal made it to the 2014 ICC World Twenty20. I would like to thank eSewa for taking another step,” said Gyanendra.

“eSewa has been actively contributing to cricket through national and international matches. This association means there will be a good amount of support for the cricketers. There are other players in the country, not only in cricket, who need this kind of support. I request other corporate houses to come forward and give such association in future,” he said.

Dhakal said: “We are glad to have Gyanendra as our ambassador. eSewa has been helping Nepali cricket, and the entire sport fraternity, by different means. We will continue to join hands with the game in coming future.”
