Nepathya to perform in Tokyo
Kathmandu, Jul 4/After a two-city tour of the US, folk-rock band Nepathya is now set to perform in Tokyo, Japan.
Prior to this Nepathya had performed an earthquake memorial show in Tokyo in April, 2015.
This time around, the band will perform one show at Tokyo Dome City Hall on July 7—joining some of music’s biggest names, like Bob Dylan and Cold Play, to play at the arena.
Speaking about the upcoming show, Nepathya frontman Amrit Gurung said, “Japan is a country that holds moments of joy, and also the place where we shared our grief after the 2015 earthquakes, so it’s going to be an intimate tour. Coming to Japan is a kind of homecoming and I love to travel around this country.”
The band will return to Nepal on July 10.
Alongside frontman Gurung, Nepathya’s line-up includes Dhruba Lama on drums, Suraj Thapa on keyboards, Subin Shakya on bass, Niraj Gurung on guitars and Shanti Rayamajhi on madal.
