300 more beds in BP Koirala Cancer Hospital

Chitwan, July 6: The Bharatpur-based BP Koirala Memorial Cancer Hospital in Chitwan will get 300 additional beds to the existing 194.

The admission of the new patients had been difficult in lack of adequate number of beds in the Hospital which has been rendering medical services to more than 130,000 patients in and outside of the country annually.

Executive Director at the Hospital Dr Bijaya Chandra Acharya shared that the process for recruitments for the new staffs is ongoing.

Similarly, preparations are being made to bring newly added 300 beds to use from mid-July along with the construction of a new modern building, he added. The new building has covered 130,000 square feet.

The Hospital built with financial assistance of China 18 years ago receives cancer patients from India too. It initially had 100 beds. RSS
