Nepal defeat MCC by 9 wickets

Kathmandu, July 29: Nepal has defeated Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) by 9 wickets. In the match played at historic Lord’s Cricket Ground, London on Sunday. Nepal reached the target of 41 runs losing one wicket in 4.4 overs 8 balls remaining.

Subhash Khakurel hit highest score of 16 runs (not out) off 15 balls including two fours whereas Gyanendra Malla scored not out 12 runs (off four balls) with single four. Anil Sah hit nine runs before returning to the pavilion. Daniel Douthwaite took a single wicket.

In the matched of six overs due to the rain, MMC was invited to bat first losing the toss. Mahela Jayawardene scored highest not out 24 runs off 16 balls including four fours. Likewise Peter Moor scored six runs. Sompal Kami took 2 wickets whereas Shakti Gauchan took single wicket.
