China’s support to Nepal crucial: Leader Dahal
Kathmandu, July 30 : Visiting Chinese Deputy Minister for External Affairs Wang Yajun held a meeting with CPN Chairperson Pushpa Kamla Dahal ‘Prachanda’ here today.
In the meeting held at Dahal’s residence at Khumaltar, the two discussed about the China’s cooperation and contribution to Nepal’s economic prosperity, according to Dahal’s Secretariat.
During the meet, leader Dahal shared that the alliance forged among the communist parties in Nepal had kindled the hope among people for good.
The former Prime Minister remarked that China’s rapid economic growth was a source of inspiration for Nepal.
Dahal, stating that the Chinese government, Chinese Communist Party and people always supported Nepal’s economic development, anticipated further cooperation from China in coming days.
He also reaffirmed Nepal’s commitment to One-China policy.
Furthermore, recalling his China visit during his premiership, Dahal expressed, “I had raised the issue of connectivity between Nepal and China during my first visit to China as the Prime Minister. It brings me immense joy to see that connectivity vision is being translated into action.”
On the occasion, Deputy Minister Wang conveyed Chinese President Xi Jinping’s warm greetings to Dahal.
The visiting Deputy Minister also thanked Dahal for the political stability maintained in Nepal following the alliance forged among the big communist parties.
Reaffirming Chinese government’s willingness to support Nepal and Nepali for their progress and prosperity, he commented that a favourable environment had been enabled in Nepal for implementing the ‘One Belt One Road (OBOR)’ project. (RSS)
