Nepal wins by five wickets in its final practice match
Kathmandu / Aug 26: Nepal has won the third and final practice match in the Nepal practice tour of Srilanka for the upcoming Asia Cup qualifiers game from August 29.
Nepal won the third practice game played against Colts Cricket Club at Colts CLub Ground on Sunday by five wickets.
Colts had set the target of 217 after winning the toss and elected to bat first. Nepal chased the target in 42.4 overs.
Captain Paras Khadka and Dipendra Singh Aireescored half-centuries. Khadka scored 58 runs from 57 balls hitting one six and four boundaries. Similarly, Aire scored 52 runs. Vice-captain Gyanendra Malla 45, Aarif Sheikh 23, Subash Khakurel 22, Sagar Pun five, and Binod Bhandari 1 scored runs respectively.
Colts had scored 216 runs in 49.5 overs. Hashan Hewanayake scored 59 runs.
Sompal Kami 3, Sagar Pun 2, Karan KC 2, and Lalit Rajbanshi one, took wickets respectively.
Nepal had won the previous two practice matches.
Nepal will travel directly to Malaysia from Srilanka on 27th August, Monday.
Nepal will play against host Malaysia, UAE, Hongkong, Singapore and Oman for Asia Cup qualification. Nepal will play its first qualifying match on August 29.
