Lal Babu PanditKathmandu / Feb 16: Minister for Federal Affairs and General Administration, Lalbabu Pandit has said that new recruitment would begin immediately after completion of the ongoing adjustment of civil servants.

During a programme organised by Nepal Administrative Staff College Minister Pandit said, “Public Service Commission has been asked to make all preparations to conduct the exams to recruit additional civil servants. Vacancy for around 20,000 new staffs would be announced after the adjustment.”

Moreover, laws related to provincial and local level service will be formulated within a year, he added.

NEPHA calls upon federal govt for employee transfer

Nepal Public Health Association (NEPHA) has called upon the federal government to take the responsibility for transfer and promotion of all health service employees above officer level.

The Ministry of Health and Population has recently delegated authority to the Office of Province Chief Minister to transfer and promote employees up to 10th level.

Arrangement has to be made in such a way that the transfer and promotion of heath service employees (who entered into service through Public Service Commission) above officer level should come under the ambit of federal government, reads a statement issued by General Secretary of the Association, Maheshwor Shrestha.

The statement further noted that there was no uniformity in career opportunities for health service employees in the adjustment process, the opportunity for transfer and promotion was narrow, and that such move would not boost the confidence of employees. RSS
