Three Nepali cricketers included in ICC T-20 rankings

Kathmandu / Mar 01: Three Nepali players figure in the new rankings of the T-20 announced by the International Cricket Council (ICC).

The ICC issued the new ranking on Thursday night. The Nepali players who figure in the ICC T-20 ranking include captain Paras Khadka, Sompal Kami and Basanta Regmi.

Khadka has climbed to the 38th place in the ranking towards all-rounder player with a rating of 76 and this is his highest ranking in his cricket career. Paras was in the 40th spot in the rankings last month. He has climbed two notches to the 92nd position towards batting also. Before this, he was in the 90th place of the ranking.

The Nepali players’ ranking has been improved after the Nepali team clinched the T-20 International Series held recently in United Arab Emirates (UAE).

Sompal, who got 60 points towards ‘all-rounder’ category, is in the 50th place of the new ranking. He was in the 51st place before this. Sompal is in the 71st position while Basanta is in the 72nd place towards bowling in the ranking with the equal rating of 409. RSS
