Govt calls RPP for dialogue

Kathmandu / Apr 21: The government has called Kamal Thapa-led Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) for the dialogue. Minister for Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Bhanu Bhakta Dhakal sent official message to party chair Kamal Thapa for the meeting. He has proposed the meeting on April 23 at 1 pm at Singha Durbar.

The party had submitted a 22-point memorandum to Prime Minister marking Democracy Day on February 19 as a gesture of beginning of their protest.

The party meanwhile has reacted positively over the proposal by the government for the dialogue.

“We will form a committee for the dialogue with the government on Monday and will sit for the meeting with the government on the stipulated time”, informed spokesperson Mohan Shrestha.

The party had organized “Mechi-Mahakali Swabhiman Yatra” and other series of protest as their first phase protest programs. The government has called the party for the dialogue at the time when the party was supposed to start the second phase of programs.
