LMC lacks building space to accommodate employees

Lalitpur / Apr 22: Lalitpur Metropolitan City has seen limited physical space to accommodate incoming employees from different thematic offices of the district. It was hard time to manage the flow of employees due to inadequate building space, the metropolitan office said.

Raju Marharjan, Spokesperson of LMC, said no thematic offices in the territory of the metropolis have so far come under the metropolitan domain. As many as 58 employees have come here from thematic offices following adjustment.

Roughly 300 employees are already in service of LMC. The existing building space was not enough to manage the employees already in service, he said, adding the posting of new employees has troubled to accommodate and mobilise employees for public service.

“We have approached the concerned authority for building arrangement”, he shared. LMC has three buildings including its central administrative hub in Pulchowk.

“It would be easier to perform when other buildings also come under its domain”, Maharjan added.

The metropolis so far does not have own building in 10 wards. The construction of five out of 10 wards has already started last year. RSS
