Proposed envoys assure working on country’s benefit
Kathmandu / July 8: Proposed ambassador to Qatar, Narad Nath Bhardwaj has said that he would work on exporting Nepali water to Qatar.
Presenting view during the hearing at the meeting of Parliamentary Hearing Committee on Monday, Bhardwaj said, “It is possible to export water to Qatar and I will work on this issue.”
He added that he is committed to the security of the employees working in Qatar and will solve the problems of the employees facing several problems. He went on saying that he will try to make necessary arrangement for the visit of Qatari head of states to Nepal.
Likewise, the proposed ambassador to Australia Mahesh Raj Dahal claimed that his wife has only work permit of the USA and she does not hold American citizenship. “If anyone will proof, then I am ready to step down”, he clarified when he was asked whether his wife has PR permit or US citizenship. He committed that he will focus on tourism development and economic diplomacy.
Similarly, the proposed ambassador to Bangladesh Banshi Dhar Mishra presented his views on the prospects of Nepal-Bangladesh relation. He also shared the future plans he wants to implement after becoming an ambassador.
Meanwhile, the proposed ambassador to Spain, Dawa Futi Sherpa expressed her commitment to work focusing on national interest as her mother Pasang Lhamu Sherpa had done.
