Chitwan-based private hospitals providing free OPD service on occasion of Constitution Day

Chitwan / Sept 19: Two private hospitals are providing free outpatient department service today on the occasion of Constitution Day that falls on September 20.

The government has directed all government hospitals across the country to provide free OPD service today on the same occasion.

The private hospitals providing free OPD service include Chitwan Medical College and College of Medical Sciences.

Special and general OPD services have been provided for free today, said Paras Adhikari, manager of the Chitwan Medical College. On normal days, Rs 25 is charged for general OPD service and Rs 400 for special service. The hospital receives around 1,500 patients in a day, said Adhikari.

OPD of College of Medical Sciences receives approximately 1,000 patients daily, said Shuva Pravat Shrestha, chief executive officer at the hospital. Various programs are being organised in the district on the occasion of the Constitution Day. RSS
