Gyanendra Malla appointed as interim captain

Kathmandu / Oct 30: The Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) has appointed Gyanendra Malla as an interim captain of the national cricket team on Wednesday.

According to CAN, Malla will lead the side for the upcoming series against Marylebone Cricket Club (MCC) to be held next month in Kathmandu and Pokhara.

The decision came following the resignation of the former captain of the national cricket team, Paras Khada on October 15.

The decision on captaincy will be finalised after a meeting of the CAN officials.

Similarly, Dipendra Singh Airee has been appointed as the vice-captain.
