Kulman Ghising, Sanduk Ruit to be awarded Hem Bhadur Malla Award

Kathmandu / Dec 24: The managing director of Nepal Electric Authority Kulman Ghising and ophthalmologist Sanduk Ruit will be awarded the Hem Bhadur Malla Award.

Organizing a press meet in Kathmandu on Tuesday, the Public Administration Association of Nepal and Salt Trading Corporation said that the duo will be awarded the award for their significant contribution in their respective fields.

Ghising will be awarded for his contribution to the country’s energy sector and reduction in the power outage. Likewise, Ruit will be awarded for his incomparable contribution to the field of eye surgery.

The prestigious Hem Bhadur Malla Award was established in 2002. Malla, born in Baglung had served as the managing director of Salt Trading Corporation. The award carries a purse of Rs 200 thousand each.
