Weather to improve from Sunday

Kathmandu / June 6 : Weather across the country will be improving from Sunday. Country’s weather has remained affected due to influence of local wind, westerly winds and the formation of a low pressure system in the wake of Cyclone Nisarga from the Arabian Sea.

The gradual improvement in weather will be seen from the western part of Nepal. According to meteorologist, Meen Kumar Aryal, though the present state of cloud and weather seems the beginning of monsoon, it is all due to influence of other systems.

Tentatively, monsoon begins in Nepal from June 10. It is estimated that monsoon will make a week’s delay to arrive in Nepal.

Presently, there is generally to mostly cloudy weather across the country and light to moderate rainfall is taking place in some places of State-1, Gandaki, Sudur Paschim, Karnali and Bagmati States. Similarly, rainfall is taking place at one or two places of State-5 and State-2.

Tonight, thunderstorm accompanied with gusty winds is likely to occur at some places of State-1 and Bagmati State and at a few places of State-2, Gandaki State, State 5, Karnali and Sudurpashchim State.

On Sunday, there will be generally cloudy at most parts of the country with the chances of light rainfall at some parts of State-1, Bagmati and Gandaki State and one or two places of Sudurpashim State and State-2.

On Monday, there will be generally cloudy at most parts of the country while light rainfall has been predicted at few places of State-1, Bagmati and Gandaki States and one/two places of Karnali, Surupashchim and State-2.

The latest weather updates of the Division read that the Kathmandu Valley today received 12.8 mm rainfall, Pokhara received 6.4 mm, Dipayal Silagadhi 27.1, Nepalgunj 3.1, Simara 31.9, Jumla 17 and Dhankuta 8.8 mm. RSS
