COVID-19 caseload surges to 11,755 with 593 new cases

Kathmandu / June 26: The Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) has confirmed 593 new cases of COVID-19 today.

As many as 593 persons, 486 males and 107 females, were identified with COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, informed Dr Jageshwor Gautam, spokesperson of the ministry in the daily press briefing today.

The COVID-19 cases were detected in Jumla,Dailekh, Jajarkot, Mugu, Morang, Jhapa, Sunsari, Dhanusa, Mahottari, Siraha, Birgunj, Achham, Baitadi, Bajhang, Bajura, Bara, Darchula, Doti, Gorkha, Kailali, Kanchanpur, Kapilvastu, Rautahat, Salyan, Nawalparasi (East), Nuwakot, Kathmandu, Chitwan, Gulmi, Sindhuli, Kaski, Lamjung, Baglung, Tanahuh, Syangja, Argakhachi, Palpa, Dang, Pyuthan,

Meanwhile, 48 COVID-19 patients, 8 females, 40 males, receiving treatment in isolation centers set up at BPKIHS, Dharan, COVID-19 unified command hospital, Balambu, Patan Academy of Health Sciences, Women Development Office, Tamghas, Gulmi, Mahendra Secondary School, Gulmi, Malika Secondary School, Jaleshwor Hospital, Mahottari were discharged after recovering from the virus in the last 24 hours.

With this, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 11,755, including 2,698 cases of recovery and 27 death cases.
