25 youths felicitated for their inspiring achievements
Kathmandu / Aug 12: As many as 25 youths from various walks of life have been felicitated for the excellent achievement they made in their respective fields.
Youth Opportunities Nepal (YON) felicitated the youths below 25 years of age amidst a virtual function organized to mark the International World Youths Day on Wednesday, according to YON’s Country Ambassador Sagar Koirala.
The felicitated youths aged between 16 to 25 years are working in various fields including in agriculture, education and environment. YON’s South Asia Chapter President Tej Raj Upreti said the youths were felicitated to provide them encouragement to continue with their good works. In a video message, youth leader of Nepali Congress (NC) and former Health Minister Gagan Thapa congratulated all the youths who were felicitated on Wednesday. “Lack of opportunity and recognition has compelled more than 18% of Nepalese Youths to leave their homeland. Just a little appreciation and motivation can encourage them to dedicate their knowledge to Nepalese society,” he said.
The YON is an online community with over 8,000 members. It has been carrying out various youth related activities to benefit them personally and professionally.
The organization was first established in Bangladesh as Youth Opportunities in 2018 as an online community of youths. It has been carrying out its activities in various 60 countries by appointing brand ambassadors in each of these countries.
