Mercury dips across the Country; Jumla sees minus temperature

Kathmandu / Nov 7 : The Kathmandu Valley has witnessed chiller day today with the fall in temperature. Cold has increased across the country including Kathmandu.

According to the Weather Forecast Division’s latest details, the Kathmandu Valley has recorded a minimum temperature of 10 Degree Celsius today. It was 10.2 on Friday. Today Kathmandu valley has recorded the lowest temperature since the onset of winter season this year.

Meteorologist Pratibha Manandhar said that the entire country would witness continuous fall in mercury in some days ahead.

“Colder moment has been experienced in the morning and evening time albeit the days are sunny”, she said, adding, “Thin foggy environment will prevail in Terai some days and mist will make weak visibility in mountainous area since there is no raining since long time”.

Kathmandu Valley has recorded maximum temperature of 24 Degree Celsius today. Likewise, Jumla district has witnessed the lowest temperature of minus two Degree Celsius. RSS
