COVID-19 update: 2,111 new cases, 3,537 recoveries and 13 deaths in hours

Kathmandu / Nov. 13: With 2,111 new cases of novel coronavirus confirmed on Friday, Nepal’s COVID-19 tally has spiked to 206,353.

“As many as 2,111 persons were found with the SARS-CoV-2 infection in the last 24 hours,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its update.

Currently, there are 37,022 active cases of COVID-19 in the country and 986 are placed in quarantine.

Meanwhile, some 3,537 COVID-19 patients either receiving treatment in various health facilities or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. With this, Nepal has recorded 168,129 cases of recoveries until now.

Moreover, 13 persons succumbed to the novel coronavirus infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal’s COVID-19 death toll has now reached 1,202.
