134 new cases of COVID-19 and 118 recoveries in 24 hours

Kathmandu / Feb. 10: With 134 new cases of the novel coronavirus confirmed on Wednesday, the national COVID-19 tally has reached 272,349.

“In 3,567 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 134 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population (MoHP) in its daily update.

Of the new cases, 65 were reported in the Kathmandu Valley.

Currently, there are 1,753 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 846 are receiving treatment in various institutional isolation and 907 are placed in home isolation.

A total of 88 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.

Meanwhile, 118 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 268,549 cases of recovery and the recovery rate at 98.6 per cent. RSS
