48 new cases of COVID-19 and 61 Recoveries In 24 Hours
Kathmandu / Mar. 12: The Ministry of Health and Population on Friday confirmed 48 new cases of COVID-19, taking the nation’s novel coronavirus tally to 275,118.
“In 2,512 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the last 24 hours, 48 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2,” informed the Ministry of Health and Population in its regular update.
Currently, there are 929 active cases of COVID-19. Likewise, a total of 51 people, mostly those who had returned from abroad are placed in quarantine across the nation.
Meanwhile, 61 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 271,177 cases of recovery and the recovery rate is at 98.6 per cent.
Moreover, no fatality related to COVID-19 was confirmed in Nepal in the last 24 hours. Currently, the COVID-19 death toll is at 3,012.
