4,524 new cases of COVID-19, 7,219 recovery and 101 fatalities in 24 hours
Kathmandu / June 2: With 4,524 new cases of COVID-19 confirmed on Wednesday, the nation’s novel coronavirus tally has reached 571,111.
In 13,805 Real-Time Polymerase Chain Reaction (RT-PCR) tests done in the past 24 hours, a total of 4,524 persons were found infected with SARS-CoV-2, informed Dr. Krishna Prasad Poudel, spokesperson at the Ministry of Health and Population in the regular press briefing.
Likewise, the virus infection was detected in 792 people in the antigen tests done in the last 24 hours.
Currently, there are 101,993 active cases of COVID-19 across the nation of which, 6,832 are admitted to various institutional isolation while the remaining patients are placed in home isolation. Currently, 837 people are placed in quarantine.
Meanwhile, 7,219 COVID-19 patients receiving treatment in institutional isolation or staying in home isolation recovered from the infection in the last 24 hours. Nepal has now recorded 461,563 cases of recovery.
The Ministry of Health and Population on Wednesday added 101 fatalities to the nation’s COVID-19 death toll, which has now reached 7,555.
