Kathmandu / Sept. 6: A joint meeting between the Kathmandu district administration and the local levels in the district on Monday decided to resume school classes in the physical presence of the students starting from September 17.
The schools will enforce strict adherence to the health safety protocols while thus running conventional classes.
Chief District Officer of Kathmandu, Kali Prasad Parajuli, informed that the meeting decided on permitting schools to run classes in the physical presence of the students with strict adherence to health safety measures from September 17.
He said that the local levels made commitments that they would hold a meeting of their education committees and ensure that health safety measures are strictly followed.
CDO Prajuli claimed that only 40 per cent of students in the district were found to have access to online classes which also called for allowing the opening of classes in the physical presence of the students.
