Over 51,000 visitors visit CNP in five months

Nawalpur / Dec. 27: More than 51 thousand people visited Chitwan National Park (CNP) in the first five months of the current fiscal year 2021/22 starting mid-July.

CNP’s information and assistant conservation officer Ganesh Prasad Tiwari said 51 thousand 304 visitors visited the national park over this period. According to him, the highest number of visitors was recorded in the Nepali month Kartik (mid-October to mid-November). Twenty-one thousand 506 visitors observed the national park in Kartik, followed by 19 thousand 580 in Mangsir (mid-November to mid-December).

Similarly, 5835 people visited CNP in the month of Asoj, 2977 in the month of Bhadau and 1906 in the month of Saun.

CNP has collected revenue of Rs 12 million 995 thousand 150 as entry fee from the visitors so far, Tiwari said.
