PM’s visit to India canceled

Kathmandu / Jan. 6: Prime Minister Sher Bahadur Deuba’s visit to India has been canceled. The visit of the Prime Minister has been canceled due to increasing cases of COVID-19 in India.

At the invitation of Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Prime Minister Deuba was scheduled to address a global conference on ‘Vibrant Gujarat’ to be held in Modi’s home state of Gujarat from January 10 to 12.

“The Gujarat Global Summit has been postponed due to the current unfavorable situation, hence the Prime Minister’s visit to India has been canceled,” Bhanu Deuba, the PM’s personal secretary, told RSS.

Along with Prime Minister Deuba heads of state and government of various other countries were scheduled to attend the 10th series of the conference initiated by the then Chief Minister of Gujarat Narendra Modi. RSS
