Preparation for Maha Shivaratri concludes

Kathmandu / Feb 27: The Pashupati Area Development Trust (PADT) has stated that all the preparations have been completed for the Mahashivaratri festival to be observed on Tuesday in the Pashupatinath area.

According to the PADT, security arrangements, sandalwood, temple night arrangements, accommodation, food, saintly hospitality, religious programs, sanitation, footwear management, health care, and volunteer mobilization have been completed to conduct the festival in a systematic manner.

Narayan Prasad Subedi, treasurer of the fund and coordinator of the publicity management sub-committee, requested the visitors to fill the fair by fully adhering to the safety standards set by the government as the risk of COVID-19 infection has not ended.

On Tuesday, the Metropolitan Traffic Police requested Kathmandu Valley residents to use alternative routes in the Pashupati area to operate vehicles. Vehicles including freight vehicles, buses, microbuses, and tempos will be banned from operating in front of Sifalchaur, Jorpati, Chabahil, and Sinamangal.
