Cabinet decisions: Nepal to accept Rs 366 million grant from Japan
Kathmandu / June 16: The Council of Ministers has decided to accept a grant of 376 million Japanese yen (equivalent to Rs 366.2 million) from the Japanese government for human resource development in Nepal, according to government spokesperson and Minister for Communications and Information Technology, Gyanendra Bahadur Karki.
The government has also decided to ratify the Bilateral Labor Agreement between the Government of Nepal and the Government of the United Kingdom
Minister Karki also shared that the Cabinet has approved the foreign visit of Secretary duo Dhanraj Gyawali and Udaya Raj Sapkota to attend the annual general meeting of APG Asia Pacific Group of Money Laundering to be held in Malaysia from 24 to 28 July. Similarly, the Cabinet decided to provide land in Belkotgadhi Municipality of Nuwakot District for the construction of the Ratmate Substation to Millennium Challenge Account Nepal, to approve Governor Maha Prasad Adhikari of Nepal Rastra Bank to participate in the 92nd Annual General Meeting of the Bank of International Settlement to be held in Switzerland on June 25 and 26. It has been decided to nominate Rameshwar Gyawali, Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Finance, as the Chairman of Rastriya Beema Company Limited.
According to Spokesperson Karki, the government has approved Secretary Arjun Prasad Pokhrel’s visit to Thailand and Vietnam from 6 to 13 July 2079 to participate in the Knowledge Sharing Workshop on Inclusive Financing Options for MSME’s Cooperative Program among other related decisions.
Spokesperson Karki said that the government has decided to form an ad hoc committee for three months under the chairmanship of Prof Sudarshan Prasad Nepal from among the ordinary members of Nepal Red Cross Society.
Spokesperson Karki also said that the government would approve Minister for Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Prem Bahadur Ale’s plan to participate in The World Tourism Industry Conference 2022 and the 37th Seoul International Tourism Fair to be held in Seoul, South Korea from June 23 to 26, among other decisions.
