Kathmandu district court judge Koirala suspended
Kathmandu / June 27: Kathmandu District Court judge Raj Kumar Koirala has been suspended.
Koirala got suspended automatically with the notice published today in the Nepal Gazette regarding the initiation of the investigation into the telephone conversation between him and advocate Rudra Pokhrel.
The Judicial Council meeting had formed an investigation committee to investigate the telephone conversation between judge Koirala and advocate Pokhrel.
The Nepal Bar Association (NBA) has demanded an investigation into the alleged audio conversation between judge Koirala and advocate Pokharel. In the conversation, judge Koirala and advocate Pokhrel sound bargaining for bail amount for the release of Ichchha Raj Tamang, founder of the Civil Savings and Credit Cooperative Society Limited, who is currently behind the bars.
