Cricketer Lamichhane sent to judicial custody

Kathmandu / Nov.2: The Kathmandu District Court has ordered to send the rape-accused cricketer Sandeep Lamichhane to judicial custody until the final verdict.

Deepak Dahal, Spokesperson of the Kathmandu District Court said that a single bench of judge Madhav Prasad Ghimire ordered Sandeep to be sent into custody. He has been sent to Jagannathdewal jail following the order from the court.

He is facing a rape accusation of a 17-year minor girl in a hotel room located in Kathmandu on August, 21.
