Govt’s priority is to collaborate with private sector including CNI: Prachanda
Kathmandu / June 29 : Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said the government has put its collaboration with private sector including Confederation of Nepalese Industries in priority to resolve pressure and complexities facing the country’s economy.
During the meeting with newly elected office-bearers of CNI at the official residence of the Prime Minister at Baluwatar today, Prime Minister Prachanda shared the government has been receiving policy-level and practical suggestion directly from CNI for economic and industrial development and the government has put it in priority.
On the occasion, a team under the leadership of newly elected President of CNI, Rajesh Kumar Agrawal, urged the government to build an environment to spend capital expenditure on time.
President Agrawal requested the government for representation of private sector in monitoring committee announced by the government for successful implementation of budget.
He stressed that a flexible monetary policy was necessary to achieve six per cent economic growth mentioned by the budget and to make economy dynamic.
The CNI President asked the government to present itself strictly to control smuggling in order to promote domestic products and increase revenue of the government.
He laid emphasis that agreement related to power export and digital payment signed in course of recent India visit of the PM should be implemented soon.
Vice-Presidents—Birendra Raj Pandey, Amit More, Bhim Ghimire, Director General Deepak Raj Joshi, among others were present on the occasion. RSS
