Good governance is govt priority: DPM Shrestha

Biratnagar / Sept 25: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Home Affairs, Narayan Kaji Shrestha, has said the government is committed to addressing every incident of the violation of rule lawfully.

In his address to a press meet organised by the Press Centre Morang here on Monday, the Home Minister said the police administration has been already directed to ensure the complete prevention of cross-border crimes including smuggling and other affairs prohibited by the law.

He said increased surveillance along the border of late has led to the rise in revenue collection. The Home Minister utilised the forum to put his argument that federalism along with the guarantee of ‘identity’ is inevitable.

According to the Home Minister, the government highly prioritises the campaign to promote good governance and a high-level commission will be formed to deal with the recent gold smuggling scam. RSS
