Rs. 590 million released for temporary housing in Rukum Paschim, 10,423 shelters built

Raju Lamichhane / Rukumpaschim, Jan 7: A sum of Rs. 590.2 million has been released so far for the construction of temporary housing for the quake victims in the Rukum Paschim district.

The sum has been disbursed to the local disaster fund of the six local levels of the district from the district disaster fund, according to the district administration office.

The amount has been provided as the first tranche of the housing grant to 23,608 beneficiaries, informed acting chief district officer Pravesh Badhuwal.

The local levels have deposited the allocated amount to the bank accounts of 21,125 recipients, the quake victims.

Chaurjahari municipality, Aathbishkot municipality, Musikot municipality, Sanibheri rural municipality, Bafikot rural municipality, and Triveni rural municipality have received the grant amount to distribute to the quake victims as per the number of victims in their areas.

Similarly, a total of 10, 423 temporary housing have been built with the relief grant provided by the government in the district. According to acting CDO Badhuwal, 7,117 temporary housings are under construction.
