PM Prachanda visits Udayapur Cement Industry; says job creation, production increase top priorities

Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ said the government’s focus is on production increase and the creation of jobs through the development of the agriculture sector.

Inaugurating the Dudhauli Town Hospital at Sirthauli of Dudhauli municipality in Sindhuli district today, PM Prachanda said the government had laid a special emphasis on the development of agriculture-based industries.

The 15-bed hospital was constructed at a cost of around Rs 180 million.

Stating that the government was going to resume sick industries to create jobs at home, Prachanda shared that he had already instructed the concerned ministries and departments to revive the defunct state-owned industries.

He reminded that he had prioritized the agenda of mechanization of the agriculture sector and increase in agriculture production during his official visits to India and China, to which both the neighbouring countries had expressed their commitment for the same. According to him, the government was moving ahead with a clear vision of ensuring good governance, social justice and prosperity, the PM claimed that the people-centric works had increased people’s hope and trust in the government.

“The incumbent government has accorded special priority to health and education. The government has also taken an important step in favour of good governance. Public service delivery has been made smooth, thereby ending the hassles facing the public,” PM Prachanda said.

He informed that he, as the Prime Minister, had prominently raised climate change issues in the bilateral and multilateral forums and mentioned that he had appealed to the international community to address the impact of climate change faced by mountainous countries like Nepal. Sharing that the decision was taken to bring the country’s economy on the right track, he clarified that the economy was revived in recent periods.

“Economic indicators are encouraging and reserve of foreign exchange and arrival of tourists have increased,” shared PM Prachanda, adding, “It has helped in directing the economy to normalcy. Revenue collection has increased in the recent period.”

PM Prachanda committed initiatives to make arrangements for equipment, capable human resources and staff required for the Dudhauli Municipal Hospital. Mentioning that he had got the information that many people lose their lives from snakebites in the area, he assured arrangement of a snakebites treatment facility at the Dudhauli Hospital.

On a different note, the Head of the Government said that there was no alternative to a federal democratic republic. He pointed out that the need to secure the welfare of grassroots people as a republic would be institutionalized only through the protection of poor, Dalit, and oppressed people.

On the occasion, the Chief Minister of Bagmati Province, Shaligram Jammakattel, assured that there would be appropriate support from the provincial government for the development of the hospital. RSS
