Nepal beat Canada by 7 runs

Kathmandu / Feb 8: Nepal have defeated Canada by 7 runs in a sensational 1st One Day International (ODI) match held in Kirtipur on Thursday.

Earlier, batting first Nepal had scored 224 runs in stipulated 50 overs.

In response, Canada became all out in 47.7 overs just making 217 runs.

Nepali bowler Rohit Paudel took 4 wickets in 8.5 overs and Lalit Rajbanshi took 2 wickets in 8 overs spell.

Sompal Kami, Rijan Dhakal, Pawan Sarraf and Kushal Malla took 1 wicket each to limit Canada to 217 runs.

Once looking comfortable win oriented Canada were in 189 runs with 5 wickets lost in 37.3 overs, after which they gradually lost the remaining 5 wickets in just 28 runs.
