Govt announces 35 public holidays for 2081 BS (With list)

Kathmandu / Feb 14: The government has announced 35 days of public holidays for the Nepali year 2081 BS.

The Ministry of Home Affairs (MoHA) on Wednesday published the list of public and festive holidays for the year 2081, indicating 27 days of festive holidays.

Additionally, six holidays mark specific days while two holidays are dedicated to marking the birth of various personalities.

List of public holidays:

Ram Navami

Buddha Jayanti/Ubhauli Parwa

Rakshyabandhan/Janai Purnima

Krishna Janmashtami

Ghatasthapana

Dashain Holidays (Phulpati to Dwadashi – 5 days)

Tihar Holidays (Laxmi Puja to day after Bhai Tika -4 days)

Chhath

Christmas Day

Udhauli Parwa/Yomari Punhi

Tamu Lhosar

Maghe Sankranti

Sonam Lhosar

Maha Shivaratri

Gyalpo Lhosar

Eid al-Fitr

Eid al-Adha

Fagu Purnima/Holi
