Farmers eye on dragon farming in Bajura

Sher Bahadur Sharki / Bajura, Feb 16: Farmers in Bajura have started looking towards dragon farming as a new business opportunity.

Road linkages in rural villages have encouraged farmers towards dragon farming.

Bishnu Raj Pandey, a resident of Himali Rural Municipality-6, said that dragon farming is a good source of earning from the land which has remained unutilized for a long time.

He informed that for the initial test, he has planted dragon in 800 ropanis of land.

Pandey said that he has an Agriculture Farm registered in the village. He brought 800 dragon sapling from Chitwan after the 50 per cent assistance from the Agriculture Knowledge Center.

Residents of Himali and Badimalika Municipality have started dragon farming.

Agriculture Knowledge Center informed that it is providing necessary assistance for farmers interested in dragon farming.
