Govt focused on socioeconomic transformation: Minister Pun

Kathmandu / June 8: Finance Minister Barshaman Pun has claimed that present government was moving towards journey of national prosperity. Government is focused on socioeconomic transformation of the country, he added.

Minister Pun was making such views during a programme organized by the Returnee Centre Nepal here today. He argued that fundamental achievements were made after the country adopted republic, so time has come to ensure quality on these.

According to him, the government had planned to rehabilitate 100 thousand returnees in a year. Environment is created to utilize their skills, labour and capital within the country, Pun reminded and asserted that the recent budget would help foster hope among people.

He further informed that agriculture, energy, IT, tourism and entrepreneurship were the focus areas.

On the occasion, Chairman of National Youths Council, Surendra Basnet, informed that the Council was conducting entrepreneurship training and financial literacy classes to the returnee youths.

Centre’s Chairman Devendra Sambahamphe underlined the need for utilizing the skills and labour of the youths returned from foreign works. RSS
