Parties need to get together to eradicate poverty
Kathmandu / Oct. 16: Prime Minister and president of Nepali Congress Sher Bahadur Deuba has said that all the parties should get together to eliminate poverty in the country.
The PM said so while addressing a programme held to introduce the candidates from ruling alliance for the election to the member of the House of Representatives and Provincial Assembly from Kathmandu Constituency 2.
The election mobilization committee was also announced in the programme.
“We have to protect the democracy that we regained after a long fight. We, all parties, need to get together, and a kind of culture to this end is being developed. We are getting together to compete in the election, to face challenges, to eradicate poverty in the country, and getting together is both a chance and a challenge at the same time,” PM Deuba said.
Highlighting on the need to consolidate democratic polity, he pointed at the need to make CPN (Maoist Center) leader and former Speaker Onsari Gharti Magar victorious in HoR election from Kathmandu 2 as she is a common candidate of the ruling alliance and a very courageous woman.
PM Deuba elaborated on how Onsari successfully conducted the parliament and worked keeping in mind that the nation’s interest is above the party’s interest in the parliamentary system.
He also appealed to the people to make all candidates of the ruling alliance victorious.
