EC completes printing of 27% of ballot papers

Kathmandu / Oct 19: The Election Commission has said to date it has completed the printing of 27 per cent of ballot papers towards the first-past-the-post (FPTP) system in view of the elections to the House of Representatives (HoR) and the Province Assembly.

It may be noted that the voting for the twin elections is taking place on coming November 20 in a single phase.

Of the printed 10,037,000 ballots: 5,013,000 are for the HoR elections and 5,024,000 are for the PA elections.

Around 40,000,000 ballot papers are required for the elections of both levels. The printing goes on at the Sanothimi-based Janak Education Materials Centre amidst high-security arrangements, it is said. (RSS)
