NC secures 44 seats as final results of 129 constituencies out
Kathmandu / Nov 25: The Nepali Congress has topped the seat tally as the final results of 129 constituencies under the first-past-the-post have been made public as of Friday afternoon.
As of 6:30pm, Congress has won 44 seats. UML is placed second with a win in 34 constituencies.
The CPN (Maoist Centre) is placed third in the seat tally winning 12 seats as the CPN (Unified Socialist) has won 10 seats so far to be ranked fourth.
The Rabi Lamichhane-led Rastriya Swatantra Party have been placed fifth by registering victory in seven constituencies.
The Rastriya Prajatantra Party is in the sixth position winning five seats.
Likewise, independent candidates have emerged victorious in five constituencies.
The Janata Samajbadi Party, Loktantrik Samajbadi Party and Nagarik Unmukti Party have won three seats each as per the latest update.
Similarly, Nepal Majdoor Kishan Party, Janamat Party and Rastriya Janamorcha have won one seat each.
As per the latest update, Congress is leading in 10 constituencies, UML in 11, and CPN (Maoist Centre) in six constituencies.
