Problems of agro sector will be resolved: Minister Bhusal
Kathmandu / April 4: Minister for Agriculture and Livestock Development Dr Beduram Bhusal has expressed commitment that he would focus his attention to resolve problems surfacing in the agro sector.
Speaking in today’s meeting of the National Assembly, Minister Bhusal said his attention has been focused on the shortage of chemical fertilizer and seeds, irrigation, a market of agro products, modernization of agriculture, and industrialization.
“We all know that it will late to bring fertilizer. Efforts of all were necessary to make the process of bringing chemical fertilizer soon”, he mentioned.
Minister Bhusal further said, “Tender of more than 75 percent fertilizer out of required fertilizer has already been announced.”
He shared that he has asked for suggestions from lawmakers as the policy, programme, and budget for the next fiscal year is in the formulation phase. Saying he has been leading the ministry that is directly connected with people’s lives, the Agriculture Minister expressed commitment to resolving the problems of the agro sector as agriculture is the backbone of the economy.
“Fertile land remained barren in lack of fertilizer. It should be converted into arable land”, he opined, adding it was necessary to connect agro productions with the market.
Minister Bhusal said he has wanted suggestions from lawmakers to resolve the problem of the agro sector, expressing commitment to moving ahead based on the received suggestions. RSS
