Boost supply system without price hike: Minister Rijal

Kathmandu / Aug 2 : Minister for Industry, Commerce and Supply, Ramesh Rijal, has instructed the ministry officials to ensure smooth supply of goods without price hike.

During a discussion organized at the Ministry on Wednesday, Minister Rijal said he would extend full support and cooperation to solve the problems facing supply system in the country. All sides concerned can play significant role to make supply chain smooth and effective, he said, adding that Ministry would facilitate the supply of essential goods.

The meeting was attended by ministry secretary, secretary at Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development, officials from different ministries and chiefs of public bodies relating to supply. It was also attended by the representatives of the business sectors including FNCCI, and CNI.

On the occasion, secretary Madhu Kumar Marasini viewed both public and private sectors could work together for smooth supply of goods in the wake of coming festival.

He informed that government would beef up market monitoring and discuss how the problems to be surfaced after India’s policy to ban rice to Nepal could be addressed. RSS
