Parliamentary committees to elect presidents on Aug 28; Q&A with PM on 29 August

Kathmandu / Aug 24: Ten thematic committees formed under the House of Representatives (HoR) will elect presidents on August 28.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire shared information that the election to get presidents for the parliamentary committees will be held at 3:00 PM on August 28.

HoR Secretary Padam Prasad Pandeya has been assigned to conduct the election.

Direct Q&A session with PM Prachanda at parliament on 29 August

The questions-and- answers (Q&A) session with the Prime Minister at the House of the Representatives (HoR) is scheduled for 29 August.

Speaker Devraj Ghimire informed on Thursday’s HoR meeting that the Q&A programme with Prime Minister Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ at the HoR meeting has been fixed for August 29.

The programme will be held in line with clause 9 of the HoR Rules 2079.

Speaker Ghimre said that those HoR members listed in Group 2 can ask the questions and that the questions should be provided in writing to HoR secretary by 3 pm tomorrow, August 25.

Similarly, the Speaker informed that election of the chairs of committees will be held by 3 pm on August 28.
