Anti-corruption drive will be turned into mega-campaign: PM Prachanda
Fadindra Adhikari / Lekthnath, Sept 1: Prime Minister and Chairperson of CPN (Maoist Centre) Pushpa Kamal Dahal ‘Prachanda’ has said that government will not stop its focus on good governance in the midst of multiple pressures from different sides.
PM Prachanda said the accused will not be spared while addressing the Message Meeting organized by Socialist Front Nepal (SFN) in Pokhara today.
He projected that the anti-corruption campaign will be transformed into a mega campaign as the incumbent alliance is going to last for five years.
The PM urged all not to doubt about the government’s firm resolve to root out corruption and assured of a fair investigation no matter who is found as a suspect.
We have ordered the police and other investigation agencies to carry out an impartial investigation, said the PM.
He clarified that formation of the SFN is not supposed for election purpose and for the number to support the government.
He viewed that society was in pathetic condition due to corruption and that the state looked slipping towards institutional corruption as many civil servants, leaders of all hues and sectors were found indulged in irregularities. “Therefore, we are focused on solving this chronic problem.”
He shared his longing to transform the SFN into a political party.
He mentioned that internal preparation is moving forward to make forthcoming visit to the United States of America and the People’s Republic of China historic.
He informed that construction of Hilsa-Surkhet Road, start of Korala Customs, regular flights from Pokhara and Gautum Buddha International Airport to China, Rasuwa border point and Ruela of Gorkha will be the main agenda during the China visit.
