Govt announces national day of mourning on Tuesday; 32 Nepalese rescued from war zones in Israel

Kathmandu / Oct 9: The government has declared a national day of mourning on Tuesday following the deaths of several Nepalis in Israel. The decision was taken at a special meeting of the Council of Ministers held on Monday afternoon.

Communications and Information Technology Minister Rekha Sharma informed Republica that the government has declared a national day of mourning over the death of 10 Nepalis in the attack by Hamas group in Israel.

Similarly, she said that the federal government has decided to give Rs one million each to the families of those who lost their lives in the attack by Hamas.

32 Nepalese rescued from war zones in Israel

A total of 32 Nepalese people have been transferred safely from the war zone of Israel. They have been rescued from Sedot Negev, the southern region of Israel.

They were escorted by the Israeli army to a safe place. Ten Nepalese students who went to intern in Israel have died so far. RSS
