KMC invites applications for 71 principals and 11 source teachers

Kathmandu / Nov 3: Kathmandu Metropolitan City (KMC) has invited applications for the posts of Principal and Source Teacher. The metropolis has invited applications for the appointment of 71 school principals and 11 source teachers at various educational levels.

According to Sitaram Koirala, the education officer of the KMC, the applications have been called for according to the procedure related to Guidelines related to Adjustment of Position and Principal Appointment 2080 BS, as the selection of principals is made on a five-year contract basis.

The metropolis has called for applications for six principals at the primary level (1-5), 22 principals at the lower secondary level (1-8) and 43 principals at the secondary level. The number of positions may be subject to adjustment or reduction based on school requirements.

Interested candidates can apply till November 17. Applicants are required to have a minimum of 5 years of permanent service at the relevant level to be eligible.

Applicants must also provide proof of fee payment to the metropolitan city. The application fee is Rs 2,000 for the secondary level, Rs 500 for the lower secondary level (grades 1-8), and Rs 1,000 for the primary level (grades 1-5).

The selection of the principals will be based on the preparation and presentation of the school development proposal.

The KMC has called for applications for 11 source teachers to support the schools in order to effectively implement the educational policies, plans, and programs of the KMC to enhance student learning achievement and improve the quality of education.

The KMC has called for applications for 2 source teachers for English, 2 for Nepali, 3 for Mathematics, 2 for Social, and 2 for Science.

Interested candidates can apply for resource teachers till November 17. There will be written, practical, and interview for the source teacher and the examination fee will be Rs 2,000. The metropolis has said that the exam will be conducted on December 4.
