Nepali team for ICC T-20 World Cup announced

Kathmandu / May 1: Nepali team for the ICC T-20 World Cup in the USA and the Caribbean has been announced

Cricket Association of Nepal (CAN) on Wednesday declared the 15-member team under captainship of Rohit Kumar Paudel.

Asif Shekh, Anil Kumar Shah, Kushal Bhurtel, Kushal Malla, Dipendra Singh Airi, Lalit Rajbanshi, Karan KC, Gulsan Jha, Sompal Kami, Pratish GC, Sandip Jora, Avinash Bohara, Sagar Dhakal and Kamal Singh Airi are named as members of the team.

Nepal is in Group D in the World Cup. South Africa, Sri Lanka, Bangladesh and the Netherlands are also in the group. Nepal will play with the Netherlands on June 4 to begin its World Cup journey. Similarly, Nepal will play with Sri Lanka on June 11, with South Africa on June 14, and with Bangladesh on June 16 as its second game.

Nepal is playing the T-20 World Cup after a period of a decade. Earlier, Nepal had played the world cup in 2014 held in Bangladesh.
